Training for Adoption Competency is a comprehensive training for professionals in the social work, mental health, and child welfare fields. UConn is one of seventeen sites across the United States certified by The Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) to offer this training.

TAC is a standardized training program developed in collaboration with national experts. The program is a rigorously evaluated, competency based, training curriculum that engages students in clinical knowledge and skill building. TAC is a 72-hour, 12 session program (1 on-line, 11 face-to-face) followed by 6 monthly group clinical case consultation sessions.
